Why does Wisconsins Social Security Disability Benefits qualifications have to be so tough to get?
I applied for disability benefits in 2006 since I lost my job due to disabilities, not being able to perform the duties neccessary to keep my job or any other job I had had in the past.Took months Got Denied.Took more months had a small hearing Got Denied.Found out Social Security did not reguest ALL of my medical records for a WHOLE YEARS WORTH so I found an attorney I can not afford that told me this is probably why I got the denials all along. Now because of me they have my Records! No attorney in the valley area will do Federal claims for this so Milwaukee is the place I went. Why must there be so many games being played here for people like me who want to work but now unable to? Why must the government keep playing with the lifes of any of us and take the neccessary things away from us when we are in need? Lost everything.Nowhere else to go. I am waiting again for over 2 years. Me and my 3 girls are still suffering.Living with a roommate so we dont qualify for Welfare. What is next?

- It should be hard to live off of the money other people pay. If your claim is legit, then it will get through. They have to make it hard to weed out as many scammers as they can.
- Roommates don't disqualify you from welfare. Go get an application for food stamps. You list your household members. Then go and get someone in town that helps disabled people, call and ask for information referral office, then they will direct you, tell them your problems and they will try to help you.
- because America is populated by (a) a load of smug bastards who never think they will ever fall ill and need help, and (b) by a load of self-righteous neo-puritans, the descendants of people (The Pilgrim Fathers) who left England because they thought King James I was too liberal (he wouldn't let them burn any more Catholics at the stake; by American standards that doesn't make him a liberal, that made hima COMMIE!)
- DEE, IT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO GO THROUGH WHEN TRYING TO GET DISABILITY. I FILED IN EARLY 2000 AND WAS DENIED UP UNTIL DEC. 8, 2003. WHEN I STARTED MY CLAIM, I HAD NO CLUE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME AND I FINALLY DID FIND A LAWYER TO HELP. THEY ARE OUT THERE, DISABILITY LAWYERS AND THERE IS A CAP ON HOW MUCH THEY CAN CHARGE. I WAS FINALLY DIAGNOSISED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO MY COURT DATE WITH FIBROMYALGIA. THE JUDGE WAS MAD AT THE "LAWYER" AGAINST ME BECAUSE I WAS NOT SEEN BY A NEUROLOGIST OR A PSYCHIATRIST AND I WAS SENT BACK OUT FOR THOSE APPOINTMENTS. IT WAS LESS THAN A MONTH TO BE APPROVED AFTER THAT. I THINK THE CHRONIC DEPRESSION THAT COMES FROM HAVING CHRONIC PAIN WAS THE DECIDING FACTOR IN MY CASE. I SUFFER FROM FIBROFOG AND HAVE SHORT TERM MEMORY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS COGNITIVE MALFUNCTIONS. IN OTHER WORDS, THE SIMPLEST JOBS ARE HARD FOR ME.
