I need someone to tell me how EI (Employment Insurance), works in Canada.....I need the most recent information, my question is:::: When you get a response from them, the government, and they tell you that you qualify for EI and that they will help you, do they give you an appointment? Do I have to go to their office anytime while I'm receiving money from them? Please someone tell me that, I just want to know if I have to visit their offices to sign something the minute they contact me telling me that I qualify for Employment Insurance? I applied for EI 5 weeks ago, and they still didn't solve my case.....is that bad? I mean I have 900 hrs worked, isn't that enough? and I got a layoff, I didn't quit....they are re-opening my claim, because I applied last year, but I didn't qualify that time because I quit, but this time is different...... Someone help, please!!!!! I think I chose the bad category for my question, LOL.....This isn't about politics, LOL......Oh well.....Please only serious answers, ok? I really need someone's point of view, someone who went through this recently.....Thanks!
