Do you think that the government giving us each $800 will prevent recession?

It seems to me that the government should create jobs, that will pay people many times over, and produce a product, rather than give us $800 to pay bills (to large rich corporations that will hide it in off shore accounts? your thoughts?

2. I'm all for getting free money in any shape or form. BUT, when you consider that they stole that $800 dollars from us through taxes in the first place, it shouldn't be this way. We should be able to keep ALL of the money we make, and spend it as we see fit.

13. Its not going to do anything. Not even delay the enviable. We need to look at restructure and economic responsibilities of the individuals versus using the government as a cure all. Hell there even thinking of the $800 dollars to people that don't pay taxes. WTF!
14. If the government creates jobs ,it`s in government service,which costs you tax money. The real jobs are created by private industry. Bush has not said $800, that was the press. Wait to hear what`s official, and do yourself a favor, don`t believe all the press tells you, they hate Bush.

16. Every American is in debt over 4000.00 to China because of our trade deficit. How long will China support us? Considering that Europe is currently China's biggest customer. The Answer is our economy has collapsed the American people do not know this yet, but they will within two years at the most. The 800 and the bailing-out the insurance companies and lowering interest rates. Is to buy time, with no plan to solve the problem. You will see the New World order / free trade people bail as soon as they can get their asseats out.
