Police question?
When you guys work with Federal agencies do they under estimated your abilites. I ask this because everytime I see a movie in which the two work together the Federal guys act like the local officers cant do their job. Like in the movie "US Marshals". Yes, I know there movies, but any truth to this?

- Hunny, the higher in rank they are the more they think they know, which isn't always the case. That is just the way people are.

- Not really, my small Dept. has been approached by the Secret Service, Postal Inspectors and BATF for assistance in federal crimes. The stuff of movies is just that, Some writer's idea of how to make the story work.
- Not really. Feds know that local cops know the area, know the players, have CIs that feed info and have one half the red tape the Feds have. I've worked on both sides.
