How come the Hispanic Caucus is portraying Compean, Ramos brutal cops who are committing police brutality?

Last week Congressman Rohrabacher and Democrat Congressmen William Delahunt and Silvestre Reyes put forth a bi-partisan resolution to release Compean and Ramos. But it only took a few days for the wind to change direction:And to add insult to injury, according to Congressmen Dana Rohrabacher, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus is BLOCKING his resolution to release Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos, the brave border agents who were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for what Congressman Tom Tancredo described as "doing their job.""The [Democratic] leadership has gone along with the Hispanic Caucus... Instead of being proud Mexican-Americans who are defending our border, the Hispanic Caucus is portraying them as simple, brutal cops who are committing police brutality." Supporting a resolution to release Compean and Ramos should be a no-brainer> On the one hand, there's Compean and Ramos, two United States citizens of Hispanic descent who proudly and bravely served their country and tried to secure our borders. On the other hand, there's Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, a criminal alien drug smuggler whose repeated LIES SENT THESE TWO BRAVE HISPANIC BORDER AGENTS TO PRISON! So why would the Hispanic Congressional Caucus -- if Rohrabacher is right -- actively oppose coming to the aid of these brave former border agents of Hispanic descent ?Let's call the Hispanic Congressional Caucus on the carpet for their bigotry against these brave United States citizens of Hispanic descent and let the Members of House Judiciary Committee know in no uncertain terms exactly want the American people want! Call the Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on the carpet. Tell them that it is shameful that they would go out of their way to turn their backs on Compean and Ramos, two brave United States citizens of Hispanic descent who were trying to apprehend a criminal drug smuggler ! Demand that the House Judiciary Committee vote on the Delahunt-Rohrabacher-Reyes resolution IMMEDIATELY and bring it to the floor of the House for a vote. And while you're at it, ask President Bush to keep a promise he made to the American people a YEAR AGO. Tell him to review the case and PARDON COMPEAN AND RAMOS! http://www.acuactionnet.net/freecompeanandramosiv.html The U.S. government admitted today in federal court that the prosecution's star witness in the criminal trial of Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean – confessed drug dealer Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila – lied under oath. "He told some lies on the stand," http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59012 http://acuactionnet.net/freecompeanandramosiv1.html If this is to long answer another question.

  1. Because the hispanic caucus, as their name suggests, is a bitterly racist orginaziton which hates America and Americans. Ramos and Compean were trying to defend America against the racist messycon border criminal invasion. This is something the bigots in the hispanic caucus cannot let stand. Good luck
  2. because they are not Mexican enough for the Hispanic caucus and they actually are trying to make a life for themselves. i guess you have to have a few felonies under your belt and be a complete worthless bag of shit and illegal before your cries for injustice will be heard. fuck bush and all the scum bag pieces of shit that want to drag our country down to the depths that the country they are fleeing from is in... and fuck Mexico too for not doing more for their people to keep them from fleeing into our country.
  3. Rather obvious. They want illegals to be able to be here, amnesty for all, under the guise of human rights. Sickening. Compean and Ramos were abiding the law, and Davila has now committed 3 crimes: coming in illegally, drug smuggling and perjury. But why would the caucus care? If they defend one crime ( illegal crossing), then why wouldn't they defend all other crimes? *Randy, Davila was FLEEING from Compean and Ramos as they tried to apprehend him and were denied due process. However, neither Mr. Ramos nor Mr. Compean was ever charged with the specific elements of the crime. Instead, Mr. Sutton's office extracted from the United States Criminal Code a sentencing factor, discharging a firearm, and substituted that sentencing factor for the congressionally defined elements of the offense. In this case, I can imagine how difficult it would be to obtain an indictment and conviction for ``using,'' ``possessing'' or ``carrying'' a firearm when the Border Agents were required to carry firearms as part of their job. That difficulty may well, very well, explain why this United States Attorney's Office unilaterally changed Congress's definition of a crime to a definition that would be easier to prove by the prosecution. Any change in the elements of a crime amounts to the seizure of legislative authority by a Federal prosecutor. When this encroachment upon the legislative power of Congress was brought to my attention and to the attention of my colleagues, Congressmen Virgil Goode and former Texas State judge, Congressman TED POE, we joined forces with the Gun Owners Foundation, U.S. Border Control, U.S. Border Control Foundation and the Conservative Legal Defense and Education Fund to file a friend of the court brief in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit Court. The brief urges reversal of these unjust convictions and 10 year mandatory minimum sentences by spelling out how changes contained in two counts of the indictment against the agents are ``fatally defective'' because they fail to charge an offense as defined by the statute. Compean and Ramos followed the law, they didn't make the law.
  4. BECAUSE THEY SHOT AT AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT<<<< THEY DIDNT KNOW HE WAS A DRUG DEALER UNTIL, AFTER THE SHOOTING HAPPENED.. SO THEY WERE SHOOTING AT WHAT THEY THOUGHT WAS AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT.
  5. Those that support amnesty also want anyone that wants to cross illegally be able to do so without any interference from anyone, and that includes the drug smugglers.
  6. Apparently they think they are standing up for their people. I sure wish they would see Americans as their people. This idea of loyalty to a foreign nation or the people therein has sure taken it's toll on America. I cant imagine what they think they are winning by all of this. It seems like the favor-ability of latino people in America is falling because of this and there are loyal latino Americans who will un-doubtfully suffer as a result.
  7. Because racially motivated groups only care about their own agenda.
  8. I cant help but wonder if Sutton is getting a cut of Davila's Drug deal???????????
